National Curriculum
Structured around Key Stage banding
Content is organised by nationally recognised Key Stage bands by default. Educators and parents can apply alternative bands to match a child's individual learning level — particularly important for children whose academic ability differs from their age group.

Content Partnership Intent
Building with the best in educational content
VML Kids is actively seeking partnerships with world-class educational content providers. Our selection criteria are simple: evidence of educational outcomes, commitment to child safety, and alignment with our values. The following organisations represent our partnership intent.
Brilliant
STEM • Problem-solving • Logic
Brilliant's interactive approach to mathematics, science and computer science makes it ideal for KS3–KS5 learners. Its problem-first methodology builds genuine understanding rather than surface recall — precisely the kind of rigorous, engaging learning VML Kids wants to offer older children.
KS3 → KS5
Khan Academy
Full curriculum • All Key Stages • Free
Arguably the most comprehensive free curriculum platform in the world. Khan Academy covers KS1 through KS5 with video lessons, practice exercises and personalised learning paths. Khan Academy Kids extends this to early years. Its Khanmigo AI tutor aligns directly with our AI Assistance category.
KS1 → KS5
Discovery Education
Science • Nature • History • Documentary
Discovery Education bridges our Education and Entertainment pillars naturally. Its curriculum-aligned documentary content — covering science, nature, history and geography — brings subjects to life in ways textbooks cannot. Already used by thousands of UK schools.
KS2 → KS5
Twinkl
SEND • Early Years • Teacher Resources
UK-based and deeply embedded in the British educational landscape, Twinkl is the natural partner for our SEND support category. Their resources are designed specifically for children with additional learning needs and are used extensively across UK primary schools.
EYFS → KS4 • SEND
ⓘ The above represents VML Kids' partnership intent. Formal agreements are in development. All content will be independently reviewed for child safety compliance before publication.
Inclusion
Every child, regardless of ability
The default Key Stage banding is a starting point, not a ceiling or a constraint. Parents and registered educators can apply alternative bands to match a child's individual learning level at any time. A 12-year-old working at KS1 level accesses KS1 content — without any visible indication to their peers that their banding differs. Every child deserves to learn without embarrassment.
